Hello! My name is Keli Seidel. I would like to introduce myself to you. This will be my fourteenth year teaching!!! I began my teaching career in Pleasanton where I taught third grade for a couple of years. Then I moved back to Seguin and worked in LaVernia for four years. I taught two years of third grade before moving up to teach two years of fourth grade. After that I came to Navarro. I have been here teaching fourth grade ever since.
I am married to a wonderful man, and we have a beautiful six year old daughter. She is very excited to be going into the first grade at Navarro Elementary. We also have a daughter on the way. Her expected arrival time is September 7th.
My plan for this year is to start the year in the classroom. I will be here for the first two weeks of school. Then I will be taking time off to welcome our new addition into our family. While I am gone, Mrs. Westerfield will be filling in for me. She is a retired teacher who still loves being in the classroom. I am very excited that she has agreed to work with my students.
This year you will be having four different teachers. I will be teaching Reading/Language Arts, Writing, and Spelling. Mrs. Helms will be teaching Math. Mrs. Wezeman will be teaching Science. Mrs. Buchanan will be teaching Social Studies. You will have Reading/Language Arts and Math EVERYDAY!!! Science and Social Studies will be on a "A"/"B" schedule. That means you will be going to those classes every OTHER day. It might sound confusing now, but once we get into the groove it will be no problem.
