Hello!  My name is Janet Thompson.   I will be your child's Language Arts teacher this year.   I love connecting Reading and Writing together and I hope that I can help to create life long readers and writers.  We have a lot of exciting things going on this year. Wow does time fly when you are having fun!  I have taught in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade.  I graduated from Southwest Texas (now Texas State) University in San Marcos, Tx, where I met my husband.  I have a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics specializing in Family and Child Development.  I also attended UTSA, where I received my teaching certification.   My husband is a  Jr. High School teacher and varsity coach at Navarro.  I have two daughters who attend 6th and 8th grade at Navarro as well.  As you can tell, my family really values the education here at Navarro.   Please let me know if you ever have any questions.
