Welcome to Mrs. Haberle's 5th Grade Math Class                                                           Current Math Concept: Plan a vacation to a national park                                                                                                                                                                                                              All students should have a Grade Sheet in their math binder listing all math grades for the current grading period. Parents, please sign this sheet once a week. Our math program uses CSCOPE, a state curriculum, and a textbook from Harcourt School Publishers (HSP). I will ask students to clear math binders of graded papers after final report cards have been received each six weeks.         All the fifth grade Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) are taught and tested. The report card grade is calculated as follows: tests 60% and other assignments 40%. Strategies for success in math:         Practice multiplication facts for immediate recall         Listen carefully to all instruction         Watch and practice skills as they are demonstrated         Complete all assignments         If more practice is needed, work Extra Practice problems in the textbook I have been teaching for 19 years. Fifteen of those years have been at Navarro. I am certified in elementary education with a specialization in math.
